Generally, the mid-size segment is crowded with other models, and the new RDX will try its best to beat models such as Audi Q5, BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace, Lexus NX, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, and the Volvo XC60.

2023 Acura RDX Engine Specs

Under the bonnet, the 2023 Acura RDX comes with the same proven engine as its predecessor. This model uses a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit turbocharged, producing 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Generally, this is more output than any of the Germans models in the class can deliver.

Moreover, like the latest MDX sibling, the RDX features the same 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front-wheel-drive in standard form (FWD), or all four (AWD) with Acura’s Super Handling system. Towing capacity is 1,500 pounds, which is not so good, considering that even Lexus NX can handle 2,000 pounds, and that’s far from the best in class.

2023 Acura RDX Facelift

The new premium crossover SUV, the 2023 Acura RDX, looks more aggressive than its predecessor. Generally, alongside the latest MDX model, the RDX is one of the hottest SUVs on the market. It’ s mostly recognized by its “floating-roof” rear pillar, which can also be found on several other vehicles from several other makers.

For 2023, the manufacturer adds to RDX the same treatment as we saw on the latest MDX. That’s not really a criticism, though. The appearance is modern, and we like its revised grille and attractive LED headlights. Generally, design can be enhanced by choosing the A-Spec package that brings more dark accents, and it replaces the standard 19-inch alloy wheels with 20-inch rims.

Technology Inside

The newest 2023 Acura RDX delivers a sportier experience than many of its rivals. Inside this SUV, nothing feels chintzy or cheap. The cabin is modern and, most importantly, very comfortable. For 2023, the manufacturer didn’t change anything significantly compared to its predecessor. Every RDX has a 10.2-inch touchscreen that sits high on the dashboard. It includes standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capability and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The optional Technology package is the best option, which adds built-in navigation, rear-seat USB ports, a 12-speaker ELS Studio audio system, and more. Every RDX model host standard driver-assistance technology, including forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Release Date and Price

The refreshed 2023 Acura RDX will arrive in the first half of the next year. The same treatment that the MDX model receives, the new RDX will offer a more stylish and comfortable cabin.

The price will probobly remain the same, and the RDX starts at $38,200, plus a destination charge of $1,025. We recommend spending an additional $3,200 on the Technology package. The most Advance package equipped with SH-AWD costs little less than $50,000.
