2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Specs, Hybrid, Release Date, and Colors. The release date of the all-new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Plug-In Hybrid is near. The first ever Hyundai's Plug-In Hybrid will go on sale in the summer, starting at around $35,000. Compared to the regular version, the hybrid one doesn't reveal drastic visual changes.

According to Hyundai, the all-new plug-in hybrid will be available with two trim levels, SEL and Limited. Generally, most of visual upgrades will happen inside, and SEL is getting Hyundai's latest 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and very responsive 8.0-inch infotainment screen. The Santa Fe plug-in hybrid uses a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 12.4-kWh battery pack and an electric motor. Alongside this version, the manufacturer will also introduce the regular hybrid model.

The hybrid model is available as well, and it deploys a 1.6-liter turbo engine with a 60-hp electric motor providing a total of 226 horsepower. Hyundai claims that the hybrid will achieve 34 mpg, while the plug-in should provide 33 mpg and 30 miles of electric driving range.

Limited trim offers an inch bigger in diameter wheels and also features like 360-degree camera system and Remote Smart Parking Assist. Unlike the standard hybrid model, the plug-in hybrid is a little more heavily on its electric side because of battery capacity. Its battery can be recharged from an outside source, and it provides some useful distance in electric mode.
