2023 Volkswagen Touareg Rumors, Redesign, Spy Photos, & News. The fresh new 2023 Volkswagen Touareg could hit markets later in the year. Reportedly, the latest version will feature many upgrades and improvements compared to its predecessor. Generally, the most exciting news is that VW will introduce a high-performance Touareg R model with a new PHEV system that develops around 455 hp and 515 lb-ft of torque.
Besides, the German manufacturer will also introduce a more modern interior filled with the latest technology. However, like the outgoing model, the new one will keep the same seating layout. The new flagship has room to fit five passengers in two rows comfortably. Generally, the latest Touareg is an answer to the models in the same class as the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes GLE, and BMW X5.
A plug-in hybrid variant is also available, and it combines a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine with an excellent battery and an electric motor capacity. Reportedly, the PHEV version model should deliver around 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.
